The first Samsung Galaxy S26 teasers promise at least one big hardware upgrade
Even if Samsung’s first Unpacked of the year is still a couple of weeks away (25 February, according to leaks), that hasn’t stopped the company from generating hype in the build-up. The South Korean company today dropped three new teasers that show Samsung is confident about at least one upgrade coming to the Galaxy S26.
That would be the camera fixed to the phone’s rear. Samsung isn’t giving away any specifics yet — it’s got to save something for the big night — but we now have a clearer idea of what we can expect when the big night comes. It wouldn’t be like Samsung to exploit unearned hype and fail to deliver, right? Only time will tell, it seems.
Lights, camera…
Without anything concrete to go on, the teasers fall a little flat. That’s fine by us. They’re only teasers.
The first, titled “Groove”, highlights the device’s ability to shoot at night, showing off a seemingly well-lit DJ in low-light conditions that we’re left to assume is all the work of the S26 alone. The ad doesn’t mention the phone by name, but does briefly show off the new camera bump and the “AI phone” branding typical of a Galaxy handset.
The second teaser, entitled “Glow”, also puts the Galaxy S26’s low-light shooter on display as we watch a girl dance around a dingy balcony, sparklers in hand, to give the S26 something to do. The third — which showcases zoom features — would be far more impressive if the company pulled off the feat in real-time. We get it. This is advertising. As long as Samsung can back it up on the night.
