Skipper Bar Celebrates Township Spirit with the Return of Kasi Kulture
Township culture is once again taking centre stage as Skipper Bar announces the return of Kasi Kulture, a campaign that celebrates the heart, creativity, and everyday hustle of South Africa’s kasi communities.
Back for its second edition, Kasi Kulture 2.0 is bigger and bolder, shining a spotlight on the authentic energy that lives in the streets of the township – from fashion and music to the unstoppable hustle that defines the kasi lifestyle.
The campaign will feature well-known South African artists Kid X, MasterpieceYVK, and Umtanakubo, who embody the sound, influence, and spirit of township culture.
Through a mix of digital storytelling, and cultural conversations, Skipper Bar is inviting people across the country to share their own experiences of Kasi Kulture – whether it’s the way they dress, the way they hustle, or the pride they have for where they come from.
“Township culture has always been one of the biggest drivers of trends in South Africa,” says Skipper Bar Brand Manager Tevin Sebela. “With Kasi Kulture, we want to celebrate that authenticity and show love to the communities that continue to inspire music, fashion, and lifestyle across the country.”
For many South Africans, the kasi is more than just a place – it’s where dreams are built, creativity thrives, and culture is born.
With Kasi Kulture 2, Skipper Bar continues to celebrate the real stories, real people, and real pride that make township culture one of the most powerful forces in South Africa today.
South Africans are encouraged to join the conversation online by sharing what Kasi Kulture means to them using the hashtag #SkipperBarKasiKulture2.
